Sliotars: 2 per group
Cones: 4
Skills: Striking, Control, Catching, Batting
Level of Effort: 2.5/5
Level of Complexity: 1.5/5
Set-up:
The players line-up over80m or across the full width of the field. In each line there is a player at either end and two players in the middle. The players on either end have a sliotar.
Description:
Players at the end strike a low ball to opposite player, 1 strikes to 3 and 4 strikes to 2. The middle players control the ball and strike it back to the same player at the end.
Players in the middle then turn and receive the ball from the opposite side. The again return it and turn to the opposite side again. Continue for 2 minutes when players swap.
Variations:
A) Players in the middle collect the ball from one end and turn and strike to the player at the opposite end. Players must side step to ensure a clear path for the ball. Players get the ball back from the player they struck it to.
B) Players from the end strike to a high dropping ball to the players in the middle. From one side the player catches the ball and returns it. From the other side the player knocks it down to himself at picks it up before returning it.
C) Additional cones can be used force the players in the middle to move between receiving each ball. Players 2 and 3 must run between the cones. This can be done for striking the ball to both the same and opposite sides.
